Age's Coat of Arms

The image you see above has been a labour of love over the week or so I worked on it. It was the only thing I could think about. I finished it a month ago almost but I wanted to let it sit there for a while to make sure I was happy with it.

The idea for this has been running in my head dying to be put onto paper since the summer of last year though elements of this project have been in head even longer - since 2003, 2004?
The middle black and white design is a combination of two Carswell Coat of Arms and the rest of the imagery is about me.

The lineart for this baby was fine the colouring however was another matter.
I first started off with a very basic colour scheme of a highlight and a shadow per colour but that didn't work out so I decided to experiment with a bit of digital painting. It's a bit shabby in places but I'm happy with it.

Don't ask about the background colour haha, I put it on as a temporary thing and it sort of stuck.

This my friends is my future tattoo and my own personal coat of arms.
